Lund University delegation visit in Lithuanian University of Health Sciences and Kaunas University of Technology on October 7
On October 7, Torbjörn von Schautz, Vice-Chancellor of Lund University, visited Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LUHS) and Kaunas University of Technology (KTU). In LUHS Lund University delegation visited Veterinary Academy and Centre for the Latest Pharmaceutical and Health Technologies, in KTU – SANTAKA Integrated Science, Studies and Business Centre. During the visit, Vice-Chancellor Torbjörn von Schautz asserted strong support to Centre of Excellence in Science and Technology for Healthy Aging (CoE) establishment in Lithuania and emphasized its importance to both national and international levels. The Health-Tech project is very important for all project consortium’s counties – Lithuania, Sweden and Finland. Vice-Chancellor Torbjörn von Schautz stated that collaborating together project partners – KTU, LUHS, Vilnius University, Lund University and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland have sufficient capacity and research competences to establish a new CoE in Lithuania.
